Meet Carlijn Lahaye at WindEurope Electric City 2021
Leading up to WindEurope Electric City 2021 from November 23 to 25, the Ventolines crew introduce themselves in a series of four blogs. This week we introduce Carlijn Lahaye, Business Development Manager.
Carlijn Lahaye started her professional career in the energy sector in 2001. In 2005 she moved to Canada. “It was an adventure. We were attracted by the stunning nature and lifestyle in British Columbia. From forests and waterfalls, to wild bears at the salmon run, killers whales playing in the bay and hummingbirds drinking nectar: it makes you realise the beauty of our planet.” In 2008 Carlijn moved back to the Netherlands, where she worked as business developer for a waste management company in recycling and renewable energy. “I enjoy working with a team to turn an idea into an actual installation or cooperation, for example to valorise waste streams or to generate green energy.” After a business development position in industrial gasses and a general management role in waste water, Carlijn joined Ventolines.
What motivated Carlijn to join the team of Ventolines? “Working with inventive and inspiring colleagues, as well as the mutual motivation to help make the world more sustainable. Generating renewable energy is one of the key ways to limit global warming. At Ventolines we enable our customers to generate electricity with wind, solar or a combination of the two, and ways to store the green energy if beneficial. To successfully complete the different phases of an energy project, you need a variety of skills. We have the skillset and are decisive, which makes that we can service the customer from A to Z, Z meaning the operation of the renewable asset.”
As Business Development Manager, Carlijn focusses on new markets and innovative services that can speed up the energy transition. “With our experienced team, we are well-positioned to help corporations expand in renewable energy or to support developers working on challenging projects. Ventolines stands out in solving complex problems, this stems from our drive to challenge and develop ourselves. I’m convinced that this accelerates the energy transition and the realisation of sustainable energy projects.”
