Technical Project Manager Balance of Plant

As Technical Project Manager Balance of Plant (BoP) you will be responsible for the foundation and inter-array cable scope of offshore wind farms. You will be a key player in the overall design, specification, technical contracting, and construction of offshore wind projects. You understand the critical elements of the BoP scope and the interfaces between the wind turbines and electrical scope. You coordinate and manage the technical contracting process with BoP contractors and then manage the engineering and construction process. You will work as part of an integrated team of engineers, contract managers, and specialists to minimize risks and maximize project value.

For this position, a minimum of 5 years of work experience is required in offshore projects, preferably offshore wind. Experience with FIDIC contracts is an advantage. The position requires a MSc degree in a relevant engineering field and the following skills:

  • You communicate well with colleagues, clients, and contractors;
  • You value the (technical) content while connecting with people and addressing processes;
  • You can distill the issues in a way that is understandable to all;
  • You are a self-starter and excel at building teams of colleagues, contractors, and customers;
  • You are meticulous and prompt in articulating technical contract specifications.

We are working on offshore wind projects in the Netherlands and the United States. In the next few years, our offshore wind business is expanding further in Europe and North America. At this moment, we serve our clients working from our two offices in the Netherlands (Amsterdam Area) and the USA (Boston). Work location and travel to office and project locations will be discussed during the procedure.
