Do you have the ambition, talent, and decisiveness it takes to help the world move forward with sustainable energy solutions? And are you excited to be a part of both national and international sustainable energy projects? If so, Ventolines is the perfect place for you!

Electrical Engineer

As Electrical Engineer, you provide support for the Project Managers during the development, tendering and construction phases of wind, solar, battery and system integration projects. You provide advice and support the project development by developing a conceptual design of the electrical infrastructure. It is important for you to take into account legislation regarding electricity and the various net codes, as well as the technical and economical feasibility of the electrical design as an integral part of the overall project. The potential combining of various sustainable technologies (system integration) forms an added challenge.

You develop and improve hands-on tools for calculating loads and losses. You collaborate with co-workers on spatial planning and permits (cable routes and transformer hubs) You also maintain contact with net managers regarding future developments and with electrotechnical consultancy firms to obtain detailed calculations when necessary. You make sure that the right design specifications are included in the tenders for any electrical works. In this process, you provide technical assistance for the contract manager, and if needed, assist them in the negotiation process. You also remain involved in the implementation of the contract throughout the construction phase, and coordinate accordingly with the contract lawyer. There is a strong interplay with civil works, and you may be required to provide support on civil works matters as well, depending on the peak loads involved. Your civil electrical engineering skills will be developed further through (internal) training.

The Ventolines portfolio comprises large-scale, highly complex projects, smaller and simpler projects, and everything in-between. As such, your work will be highly varied in nature.
