Ventolines successfully guides development and sale of Woudhuizermark solar park
The Woudhuizermark solar park, to be built along the A50 motorway near Apeldoorn, has been taken over from the local initiators by Enovos Green Power Nederland. Woudhuizermark solar park is a 12 MWp solar park and has a number of special features.
Local development
For instance, the local power grid of the neighbouring business park Ecofactorij enables connection of the solar park to the public grid by means of a closed distribution system. Also, thanks to the innovative character of the Ecofactorij and the local grid, all the power generated by the solar park is consumed locally by the companies present at the Ecofactorij. This makes this project a great example of local development with local use of the renewable energy that is locally generated.
Ventolines integral external advisor
Solar park Woudhuizermark will be realised on an area of about 13 acres and is an initiative of two agricultural entrepreneurs in the Apeldoorn area. On the agricultural land, they wanted to realise a solar park in collaboration with the environment. After a positive discussion with the municipality and the possibility of connecting to the private grid of the Ecofactorij, the initiators started the development under their own management.
Ventolines was then appointed as integral external advisor on the environmental permit, the SDE subsidy (an incentive scheme for sustainable energy production), design & environmental participation, grid connection to the private grid, power purchase, legal advice on the project contracts, and finally a successful sale including drafting and negotiating the acquisition contracts.
The promoters were further assisted by their personal advisor Flynth advisors & accountants.
Sale of the solar park
In recent years, the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine have significantly changed the feasibility of solar park projects. The prices for materials and labour, interest rates and electricity prices all rose sharply, and the further development and realisation of the solar park in-house was very uncertain. In the end, it was decided to sell this solar park.
The original initators are very pleased with the sale to Enovos Green Power Netherlands.
“Enovos Green Power is delighted to take over Solar Park Woudhuizermark and contribute to sustainable energy solutions in the region. We would like to thank Ventolines and Flynth very much for the pleasant and professional collaboration to make this project possible. We now look forward to the successful realisation of this beautiful project. We expect to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2024.”
