Solar farm

Het Knooppunt Hattemerbroek

About this project

Zonnepark Het Knooppunt Hattemerbroek is located in the municipality of Oldebroek and is about 7.8 ha in size. It is located in the armpit of junction Hattemerbroek (junction A28, A50 and N50) to the west of the village of Hattemmerbroek. On the western side of the park is a fishpond complex and next to it is the Hattemerbroek skating rink. The solar park will have more than 12.5MWp of installed capacity with an expected 25.000 solar panels. This can generate enough energy for at least 3.000 households. Eelerwoude has been involved in the landscape and ecological integration. The environmental permit was granted in 2022 and the SDE subsidy was obtained in November 2023. A local energy cooperative is also actively involved in the project.

A special feature of this solar farm is that it is fully locally owned and uses a so-called “cable pooling agreement” with a nearby wind farm. This will allow the solar farm to supply renewable electricity despite congestion in this region, using existing infrastructure. Moreover, much attention has been paid to good ecological integration, such as nature-friendly banks, planting of willows, mixed hedges and flower and herb-rich grass. Arrangements were also made outside the project area for additional ecological integration.

Ventolines, with Maarten Klap as project manager, supervised the entire process from acquisition to obtaining the SDE subsidy and is also responsible for the follow-up process up to and including the completion of the solar farm. The solar park is expected to be built during 2024.
