Sale of wind farm Kroningswind

Ventolines acted as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Dutch onshore wind farm Kroningswind in the sale of a majority share to listed Belgian infrastructure investor TINC.

Wind farm Kroningswind in the Kroningspolder on Goeree Overflakkee, an island located just below Rotterdam, is an initiative of 10 agricultural families from the area (www.kroningswind.nl). The wind farm contains 19 wind turbines of the Vestas V117-4.2 MW type. At the time of the transaction, Kroningswind was under development with permits, land position rights and SDE+ subsidy having been obtained. Wind farm Kroningswind has been in operation since 2022.

Ventolines guided its client throughout the entire sale process including the sale strategy, process and proposition, negotiating and structuring of the transaction, facilitating due diligence, negotiate transaction documentation and support the process to closing.

For a project under development it is crucial to pinpoint and appropriately allocate the remaining development risks. In that sense our structuring of the transaction has contributed considerably to the optimisation of the transaction for the sellers.
